Smash is a gamemode that features a unique Player vs. Player experience. Instead of a battle of force, it's a battle of reaction time, speed, and physics. Every map is unique and has its own challenges. The objective is to be the last man standing.
How to play
As each round begins, boxes are fired from cannons and are raining from the sky. This may not be the best thing, as you have found yourself standing on an unstable platform.
The goal is to run around in an attempt to not be crushed or take the long fall to your death. You must make your way, amidst the chaos, across the platforms in an attempt to find the safest area. Either you find it, or you end up dead. The last one to take the fall wins!
There are several tools and mines that can be used to help you win the round. To equip a tool / mine, press F3.
As already mentioned, only the last man standing will be rewarded with cash. The amount of cash received is dependent on how many users are playing. Typically this number ranges from 10,000 to 30,000 cash.
Killing an opponent using a mine or tool will grant you a small cash bonus as well.
Tools & Mines
Smash Weapons
Mines are currently the only weapons in Smash. They can be found in weapon chests (series 5), and in every Crate - excluding series 7. They can also be purchased as a bundle from the premium store for 1 gold bar, this will including all of the mines on the server. In order to use a mine, you need to equip them, this can be done by entering the menu found by pressing F3. When someone has a mine equipped, you will see them holding a pistol which was originally from Half Life. The amount of times a mine can be used per round is defined by the amount of ammo which it has. This can be a number from 1, to 4. The ammo varies between different mines, not the same ones. For example, every repulsion mine has 4 ammo, and every drill mine only has 1 ammo. All mines come with a delay on how often they can be placed.
If a player steps on a mine, and then dies within 10 seconds, the owner of the mine will be granted the kill. For every kill which is made the owner of the mine is granted 2000 cash. (This number can be higher depending on your bonuses, for example a diamond member would receive 4000).
Smash Tools
Currently three tools are available and obtained from a Locked Crate (Series 8), a Locked Crate (Series 9) or a Locked Crate (Series 10). The full set can also be obtained from the Bundle of Smash Tools. They have infinite ammo, but the Force Staff has an 10 second recharge - it is also the only tool which can be seen equipped when being used by another player. Unlike Mines, tools are used to help the player,
Sudden Death
To keep the rounds from dragging on forever, a sudden death mode is enabled after several minutes. Drill Mines will start spawning and slowly destroying the platforms on the map.
Awards
You can obtain awards by doing certain things on the servers, currently there is no prize or reward for achieving them other than the satisfaction of knowing you have something which someone else doesn't.
