I recently got a tasty rainbow paint, and decided to put it on my rare Dictator hat, but for some reason the paint won't appear on the hat at all...it says it has the paint on it, but me, nor anyone on any server can see the effects of the pain, so I'm pretty bummed that I wasted a pretty pricy paint on a hat and it not work. I know I can get a paint remover to get it back and put it on something else, but that would be more money out of my pocket, for a problem out of my control.

I will have a look later today to see if it's something I can fix.
In the meantime, I have added a paint remover to your inventory queue incase you want to remove the paint immediately.

You probably didn't notice it, its one of those hats that only has a small piece affected (The cross on the front of it), and I think that The Dictator actually has the smallest area affected by paints.

UnknownX is right, the paint only changes the color of the cross
