Bans & Appeals / Chat/Mic Ban Request: Rick Grimes
« on: April 02, 2013, 04:50:54 AM »
Name: Rick Grimes
SteamID: STEAM_0:0:4717979

Other(optional): There was talk about the latest Walking Dead episode via mic. Myself and a few others made it known we hadn't seen it yet. Rick mic spammed episode spoilers for awhile (not sure how long, I had him muted). When he was asked to stop and was informed of being muted he chat spammed the spoilers instead.

MoronYard Discussion / Jukebox Idea
« on: March 20, 2013, 08:02:45 PM »
I'd like to suggest adding a jukebox feature used to play music on the servers. I think it would be really enjoyable to have some music playing along with the steady crash of boxes plummeting into platforms and drill mines beeping away the time left until the inevitable.

I'll give you an idea of what i'm thinking:

Let's say a user wants to play a song using the jukebox. The user hits F4 to bring up the jukebox interface containing a searchable library of songs that have been added to the server. If the user prefers, the library can also be sorted alphabetically by song title, artist, album or genre. The user is able to spend a small amount of an in game currency (not sure if cash or tokens would be more appropriate) which will purchase a song of his/her choosing to be played. Songs will be queued in order of purchase.

The jukebox interface would have several different features for individual users:

  • Add - Plays the selected song or adds it to the queue.
  • Mute song - Used to mute only the currently playing song.
  • Mute all - Used to mute all music from the jukebox.
  • Queue - Brings up a dialog box which displays a list of currently queued songs.
  • Volume - Used to adjust the jukebox volume level via a slidebar.
  • Vote Skip - Used to skip the current song. A certain number of votes (based on number of people playing) are required to skip the song. (maybe vote skips should be purchased?)
  • Request - Brings up an input box allowing players to suggest new songs to be added into the library.

Mods/Admins would have different features to pause or mute the jukebox for all players. This could be used for events or other activities where music could inhibit hearing important info that might be given via a mic.

I have seen jukebox setups similar to what I proposed on other servers and really liked the feel and social aspect it added to the game. An example of one can be found on the Evolution Servers - Minigames server 64.31.15.98:27065 (press F3 to bring up the jukebox). I also want to point out that giving Evolution Severs IP address on this forum is NOT AN ADVERTISEMENT for them. I tried to screenshot their jukebox using steam and print screen to no avail. I did want to show an example of a working jukebox though.

My proposed model is purely a mock-up and by no means would it have to be setup in this way. Please post if you are interested in something like this. Feel free to add new ideas and make any changes to my suggestions.

MoronYard Discussion / Item Drop Reset Issue
« on: March 02, 2013, 10:44:09 PM »
Not sure if this is the right place to put this, sorry if it isn't.

Drop resets havn't been working properly for me the passed 3 days. The problem started Feb 28th at ~12:45 EST (usual drop reset time as far as I can tell) when i lost connection to the server. Upon rejoining, my drops had not reset and did not do so for the rest of the day.

On March 1st I only received 7 drops, even though i was wearing item per day gear that should have given me 11.

On March 2nd my account's item drops were not reset at all again.

I checked with other people on the Smash server on the days I listed to see if they had any issues. Cow also did not have his drops reset on Feb 28th. The other two days everyone seemed to get their expected drop resets.  :o

Can anyone help me out?  ;D

My Steam ID is STEAM_0:1:28558978

Thanks!  :-*
