When I go to my Favorites, And I click on the Slope server and when I click join game, it says "The server you are trying to join is running an older version of the game"? How can I fix this? Is it because I just updated my Gmod, or because of the server?

It means you have updated your Garry's Mod, but the server hasn't been updated yet. Unfortunatly there is little you can do other than wait for the owners to update it - this probably won't be long from now.
