Okay, now I'm just confused c:

16gb ram is useless and will be for a long time
What makes it useless?

On the subject of processers,

What makes i5 so much more appealing than one with more cores, and a higher memory cache? And in some cases, a faster processing speed?

What makes it useless?

You will not get into a situation where you will ever max out the 16GB. I have 8GB and I don't even use it it's full potential (while using Photoshop, Eclipse, listening to music and having gmod running in the background).

The fact that it perfomed rather poorly in benchmarks, gaming tests and other reviews even though it is not cheaper than the i5. Theoretical values are not something you should always go by.

Also you might wanna get a Solid-state because they are going down in price with more gigs. Don't get it if you are planning to Store pictures and shit like that. Or you can do what some people and get a solid-state drive for gaming and a hard drive for storing stuff. (i know you said you don't wanna spend a lot, but its just a suggestion).

I really like the gaming computers from Asus. I bought a Asus G60jx about 2 1/2 years ago and its still running like new. If I was to buy another gaming rig it would be a Asus. These are the computer specs I got as of right now.

Just keep in mind that computer specs are getting higher and more advanced every year this rig is going on 3 yrs old lol. At the time it was the best computer at Best Buy. Even though I am still very much pleased with it. ;D

Sorry for going off topic, but would this video card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130838&nm_mc=OTC-Channel&cm_mmc=OTC-channel-_-Video+Cards-_-EVGA-_-14130838&srccode=cii_7240466&cpncode=26-9655565&DEPA=0&refer=channel&CMP=OTC-

It uses (pci express 3.0) be able to fit and be compatible with my motherboard pci express 2.1?
I think it's pci 2.1 because this is my current horrible video card: http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=article&item=amd_radeon_hd6450&num=1

All I was wondering was would I be able to replace my old video card with this new one? Thanks  ;) (Yes I know about required voltage). I belive that both pages mention that they are both x16 video cards. ( pci express 2.1x16 and pci express 3.0x16)

3.0 pci-e will work in 2.1 pci-e motherboard

The gtx 650 will be faster rthan your current card but will become outdated when newer games come out
I would go for 7850 OverClocked which are around 130 in usa about $170

I'll have to get back to you on that one when I am able to check the internet history of my other computer to find out! :P

I know I already told you that on steam, but by posting here it acts as a reminder that I need to do it.

When are you actually planning on buying this computer?
And why not build it yourself?

A few weeks ago, and why bother? I like the price and the specs.
