(Thanks to Knoxed for the banner)

I am releasing the tool that I use to make hats for the server so you guys can make your own hats and post them here.

This tool has been updated to work with Garrysmod 13. The tool in the other thread does NOT WORK ANYMORE.

!!!! Important !!!!
- In order to use this tool, you cannot have any other versions of PAC3 by CapsAdmin installed (this also means workshop addons). This tool is a direct modification of PAC3 and will conflict with the original version. Make sure you uninstall any other version!

How to install?

Tutorial:

1) Open PAC through the spawn menu / options tab.

2) Click the "+" icon in the nonDB Hatmaker toolbar.

3) The tree list on the left side will be cleared (all groups and models removed).

4) Create a new 'group' by right-clicking the empty white space in the upper left.

5) Right-Click the newly created group and create a new 'model'.

6) Make sure you have the exact structure as seen in the screenshots. 1 group and 1 model. No more, no less!!!

7) Select a model (clicking the [...] button in the model field opens the spawn menu, where you can right-click and copy a model's path and paste it into the model field)

8) Select the bone you want to parent to (most hats parent to 'head, body attachments might parent to 'spine 1-4')

9) Tick the 'origin fix' checkbox. IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!

10) You can now start making hats; use the position, angles, size and scale fields to adjust the model so the item fits perfectly.

11) After you are done with the positioning, click the little brick to save the settings for the first model (Barney).

12) When you have clicked the little brick, click on the orange arrow pointing to the right (Next Model in line)

When you have reached the last model (stripped combine) and adjusted all the settings:

13) Click the brick one last time.

14) Click the green puzzle piece once. This will generate a file with all the settings for each model.

15) The generated file can be found in your data folder (garrysmod\data\nonDB\hatsData\YOUR_MODEL\__compiled.txt)

16) Open the file _compiled.txt and check the last line. If it says TRUE, you have all the offsets you need and you are done. If it does not, it means you forgot to generate the offsets for one or several models.

17) If the file says TRUE, you can copy paste the content of the _compiled.txt file into a new post in this thread (http://moronyard.com/forums/index.php?topic=384.0).

If you have any other questions, read the old thread which can be found here. (http://moronyard.com/forums/index.php?topic=70.0)

Nonsense, the tools broken sorta, The Fast Zombie model in the selection for it just turns into an error when I go to it, but it works fine if I switch to it out of PAC, also there's no Load Config button.

The fast zombie can be skipped since it will be removed from our server (hence the 25 models in the config).

The load config button is not needed.

Can I just make it clear to install the files into this directory:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\addons

NOT into:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\*Your User*\garrysmod\garrysmod\addons

I've had a couple of people get this wrong and this seemed to be the problem both times.

I've been installing into that directory, not the old one, doesn't work.

My apologies, I found out the issue, just a conflicting addon I believe.

That was just a general reminder, not specifically directed to you, glad you got it all working now =)

Whenever I save a model, and go to the next one, when I go back to the previous model it is already all messed up.  :(

I believe that is just how the program acts. If you run it all the way through, you'll notice that your compiled file at the end DOES NOT show the same values across the boards. It only writes to the associated files when you click the brick, and the final click at the end.

Correct me if I am wrong, though, as I've done this for only one day.

I meant it doesnt switch the models when you click the orange arrow.

I'm thinking of getting this and attempting to make hats and possibly body items of game characters or youtubers. Hope I can learn how to do it without to much difficulty.

I keep getting a "No Model Found!" error, does this mean if I compile all offsets that the values won't be saved for the models?
