So after couple of months later i see nothing has changed, the servers are still a huge pile of horse shit.

Message from our provider:

An attack in NYC knocked out Internap and caused high packet loss from approximately 12:52pm through 12:10pm EST today. The destination has been null-routed.

InterNAP is having serious issues in NYC right now (9:33pm EST). We are escalating with them to try to understand what's going on (again), but the problem is within their network.
Another DDoS in NYC

The attacks in NYC subsided shortly after our last posted event and we have tentatively removed the null-route on the TS3 server IP address at this location. We are watching carefully for further attacks. As always, we will respond immediately to any that we see.

While our server was not directly attacked in any way, bigger attacks can impact all hosts on the network. When our server gets knocked off the grid for a few minutes, it can lose connection to our database server.
There are measures in place to reconnect to the database, however a lengthy downtime can cause the srcds process to freeze (which is what happened last night). The server doesn't crash (thus doesn't seem to need a restart) but doesn't respond either.
