I'm going to start this off with a situation I was once in, Sitting there on the server bored with no drops left for the day as others continue with their day, "I wish there was something for me to try and get lucky on." Yes there might be a gift but that's only if a certain amount of players are online which is why I have some suggestions for side-games that could possibly benefit you depending on how lucky you are.

First up: The Scratch-Off
Simple, isn't it? A scratch-off card that you buy from the store for a sum of money, depending on how much you spend on a card, determines your chances of getting something good on a card.
Card 1: 1mil basic card
Card 2: 5mil Advanced Card
Card 3: 10mil The SMASH Card

Items and prizes could be determined by Upper Staff.

Next: "The Gumball Machine"
In the store you now have the option to exchange cash for a "Scoin" these coins will be used to put into the machine and a small ball-like object will pop out and you will receive a prize, the factors will be how many coins you put in and the color of the ball that comes out, blue being most common to red being the rarest.

Post feedback bellow if you could, I really appreciate at.  :D

I don't see how it would ruin it, considering that you're the one who is purchasing it. Therefore if you don't get what you want out of it's nobody's fault but your own. And you kinda gamble in a way every time you unbox a crate considering the odds of getting something good is slim if you don't have good items.

I could go into more detail on the subject but the bottom line is it's just an advanced form of gambling

New players can acquire information from players on how these scratch-offs would work, when you joined smash did you know how to play right off the bat? No, you play and you begin to get more experienced at it. And when your at a comfortable level of intelligence on the topic you can go outside your borders and try new things, In this example: the scratch-offs

I personally do support having gambling within the servers, but not in a PVP fashion so I like the scratch card idea
